Barbara's Light LLC was inspired by my mother, Barbara, and the gentle lessons she has taught me throughout my life. I have watched her give of herself again and again: sewing handmade handkerchiefs for seniors, offering words of encouragement to young people, and caring for the sick and those in need throughout her lifelong career as a nurse. Wherever she goes, Barbara's light shines brightly.
I created this company to carry that light forward and to honor her. Today, Barbara's Light offers chauffeured VIP senior transportation, getting our clients safely and comfortably to appointments, errands, family gatherings, and everywhere in between, with the dignity and personal attention they deserve.
This is only the beginning. We plan to expand into in-home care services, and our long-term vision is to open semi-private retirement and adult living homes, where every resident feels safe, valued, and at home.

I wanted to report on an extended trip I booked with Barbara’s Light. First, the booking experience was so much more than I expected-I got a breakdown of the trip and itemized expenses so I knew exactly what I was paying for. Second, I did get a reminder when the driver was on his way. Rayshon Todd showed up dressed quite nicely in a suit. Although this is a chauffeured service, at my specific request he did allow me to sit in the front seat, though he noted the back would be much more comfortable. It was a longer trip and I do have trouble hearing and wanted to be able to converse comfortably. The seat was adjustable, the car was clean and neat and an much smoother ride than my own. The music from the radio was subtle and not offensive-actually quite nice for my taste. Rayshon accommodated my request for a stop and at my destination he came in the establishment with me and never seemed rushed or irritated by the wait. The trip home was equally nice and my treatment was superb-he opened doors, helped me out of the car and offered me his arm and hand to help navigate across broken pavement. He made sure I got into my home and was settled before he left-so much nicer than being dropped off to fumble with keys, the door, and packages. I would give this service a 10 and recommend it to anyone who needs a little extra help or just prefers to be treated well.
